Utilizes a high density wood composite laminate, injected with thermal high pressure inside and out and lined with acoustic foam, the foam lining eliminates resonance and reverberation as well as improves sound attenuation. Avoids interference from ambient noise, with its own fan to provide background noise and ventilation. Unique gravity platform that combines an inductive transducer, amplifier and acoustic speaker (to provide background noise and stimulation sounds). Produces up to 120 dB of stimulus sound and up to 100 dB of background noise for startle stimulation. The highly accurate gravity platform allows precise measurement and analysis of the animal's startle response.
